Shining Revelry (A2b)
I’m calling it now—this deck is the meta. We’re still analyzing the deck for counters, but only Gyarados EX seems to stand up to it so far (psst… keep that in mind). The strategy is so simple it’s almost unfair. Here’s how it plays out:
Once you reach this point, let the chaos begin. Giratina EX and Darkrai EX can start obliterating everything, while Giant Cape ensures they survive most attacks. The ideal board state includes:
This setup prevents your opponent from easily claiming an EX knockout while keeping up relentless defensive pressure. If Druddigon gets KO’d, just cycle in the next one and keep applying pressure until your opponent is out of options but to attack. The key here is forcing them into suboptimal Supporter plays and suboptimal attacks (i.e., anything that isn’t Red) so that Darkrai EX and Giratina EX can clean up.
Giratina Ex: Primary attacker and damage dealer
Darkrai Ex: Chip damage dealer and secondary attacker
Druddigon: Defensive wall
Leaf: Board stabilizer
Red: Damage enhancer
Giant Cape: HP enhancer and helps Giratina Ex survive
Do you prefer a more aggressive playstyle? This variant replaces 2 Druddigon, 2 Leaf, and 1 Iono for:
The extra healing keeps Darkrai EX alive longer while it wears down opponents. The real kicker? A well-timed Dawn can have Darkrai EX attacking so early that your opponent might concede on the spot.
This variant also performs better against the mirror match and Gyarados EX, the deck’s biggest threats. While it sacrifices some defensive bulk, it counters bench-swapping strategies much more effectively.
Let’s get real—anyone calling this a Tier 3 deck is not using appropriate data from Limitless. This deck boasts a 57.04% win rate, compared to Dialga/Arceus’s 49.32% win rate (another Tier 1 deck). That’s a massive gap. Sure, the meta might eventually adapt, but this deck is an absolute menace right now.
🏆 Tier 1 — Tournament Proven
✅ Strengths: Unlimited Energy and High Damage
⚠️ Weaknesses: Bench swapping and self-damaging
